Antoni Gaudi is possibly the most unique architect who's work remains fully intact today. The photo below summarizes his life and the galleries (click text to view) highlight two of his most famous and impressive works.
 
Guell Park was an aborted attempt to create a totally planned community. Although the plan failed the basic structure survives today and is a Barcelona highlight everyone enjoys. Casa Batllo is an apartment house that show's Gaudi's attention to detail and his insistence on controlling all aspects of his building's structure and content.
