Tracy Arm is an inlet leading to/from the Sawyer glacier. Over the past 250 years Sawyer glacier has retreated about 25 miles from it's point of farthest advance. Some people say glacier retreat is the result of global warming but it's not clear that the cause is anything other than the normal advance/retreat cycle all glaciers exhibit.
