El Capitan on the left, Half Dome in the center, seen from the entry to Yosemite National Park. There is about a 25 mile drive on a windy, 2-lane road to get into the main park area. The valley itself is relatively small and the surrounding structures are so large that it's hard to get good photographs in winter because many access roads are closed.
