Ephesus is not far from the Turkish port city of Kusadasi. During the Roman Empire Ephesus was the capital city of Asia Minor and as it hosted many famous people of antiquity. Antony & Cleopatra rode through the streets of Ephesus; St. Paul & St. John were both active in Ephesus.
