These eagles are kept mostly outside. They cannot fly so their area is fenced only on the sides; it has an open top. This is a mated pair; the male is on the left and the female on the right. Eagles mate for life and although this pair produce eggs every year the male's injuries prevent him from fertilizing the female so she produces sterile eggs.
