Sitka is in the Raptor Center because she was hit by a car and lost the rear toe on her right foot. This loss makes it almost impossible for her to catch fish. According to her handler Sitka is adapting very well to life in captivity. She gets taken outside most days and is allowed to catch small animals by herself.
