Another view of Landscape Arch. Some hikers were picnicking beneath the arch in 1995 when they heard a large cracking sound they thought was thunder. It wasn't. Several hundred tons of rock fell from the arch and nearly crushed them. After that the Park Service moved the trail from under the arch.
