A close-up of the ship's Norden bombsight. As one of the most closely guarded secrets of WWII each bombardier had to sign a special oath in which he pledged to protect the bombsight with his life. Bombardiers kept their bombsights with them at all times, removing them from the ship at the end of each mission and reinstalling them at the start of the next one.
